The ResiliArt Accelerator is an exciting new project hosted by Moto Republik in partnership with UNESCO and the Embassy of Japan. The project will train 5 women creatives from all over Zimbabwe over a 6 month period in the necessary soft skills to develop their creative hustles. The ResiliArt five will have coaching sessions by Zimbabwean experts, covering practical topics such as pitch, communications, marketing, financial planning, and legal affairs; and will be paired with regional women expert mentors for mentorship sessions. The beneficiaries will share their learnings with girls and young women in their communities through an outreach component, creating a positive cascading effect that promotes the creative entrepreneurship among the target groups.

Age: 25
Name of Business: GraceN Arts/ Maonero Arts Trust
Area of specialisation: Printmaking and philanthropy (Visual Arts)
I am passionate about Visual Arts as it gives me an open platform to express myself, tell stories about women in my country and as well as educate people from my day to day experiences and giving a sense of healing as art is also therapeutic
Short-term goal:
My goal is to have an art exhibition encouraging the girl child that one doesn’t need much to dream and women can also make successful projects even when they are a mother juggling both their career and a family
Long-term goal:
My long-term goal is to open a small space teaching art to less privileged people particularly single mothers and women interested in the arts because the industry has a small number of women participating in events and half of the women in the country are going through mental health issues I hope to open a platform providing both therapy and art education
